In 1980, I decided not to pursue a career in law, and moved from Connecticut to the Vineyard, where I started a store called Trader Fred’s. Thirty-two years later, I still own the flourishing business. In 1996, I joined Jane Brown Associates, the Vineyard’s third oldest real estate firm. Because of my success during my first year with the company, the owner sold me the agency. Since then, we have expanded and now operate at a capacity that places us in the top ten. Through the years, I have developed many different strategies regarding buying and selling. I firmly believe that every sale dictates its own unique story and strategy, qualities which computer generated searches like Zillow cannot offer. I can give you my personal first-hand knowledge of the property and location. As evidence of my personal vested interest in the community, I have been a member of many non-profit boards. I have served as President for the Edgartown Board of Trade and presently serve and have been on The Edgartown Planning Board for more than nine years.
